Demi Kesehatan Pemerintah Akan Larang Beli Rokok Ketengan, Per Bungkus Boleh

Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menegaskan, bahwa rencana larangan penjualan rokok batangan bertujuan untuk menjaga kesehatan masyarakat.
Hal tersebut disampaikan dalam keterangannya di hadapan awak media di Pasar Pujasera, Kabupaten Subang, Provinsi Jawa Barat, pada Selasa, 27 Desember 2022.
“Ya itu kan untuk menjaga kesehatan masyarakat kita semuanya,” tegas Presiden.
Presiden menyebut, bahwa beberapa negara juga telah melarang penjualan rokok secara batangan. Melalui kebijakan ini, Indonesia masih mengizinkan penjualan rokok, tetapi tidak secara batangan.
“Di beberapa negara justru sudah dilarang, tidak boleh, kita kan masih, tapi untuk yang batangan tidak,” jelasnya.
Pemerintah berencana melarang penjualan rokok secara batangan mulai tahun 2023. Rencana tersebut tertuang dalam Keputusan Presiden (Keppres) Nomor 25 Tahun 2022 tentang Program Penyusunan Peraturan Pemerintah Tahun 2023 yang telah ditandatangani oleh Presiden pada tanggal 23 Desember 2022.
Dalam Keppres itu disebutkan, bahwa pemerintah berencana merevisi Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 109 Tahun 2012 soal Pengamanan Bahan yang Mengandung Zat Adiktif berupa Produk Tembakau bagi Kesehatan. Dalam penjelasannya, peraturan baru tersebut nantinya akan mengatur tujuh poin, salah satunya soal pelarangan penjualan rokok batangan. (del/rl)
